CHOP CHOP

I definitely needed a hair change in my life. I was so used to my long ombre, bleached hair, that I was yearning for something different! BTW temperatures have reached an all time high, 91 degrees in Honolulu, so that too!

I love that some of my ombre is still there, but it is a subtle, and little more ashy. I definitely need to get used to the LOB, but i love it, and it is a lot easier to maintain.

Hair care has been an overall must compared to everything these days. I have been splurging on hair protectants and frizz tamers like crazy. These are a few that I have been loving as of lately.

Just Like Vegas

Have you ever had the experience of trying the amazingness of the Combo Pan Roast from the Oyster Bar at Palace Station? This past March, I was able to go there. So many people had recommended that I try this place so this was a must on our yearly vegas trip!

This is a picture of the original combo pan roast from Palace Station. Mind you, we went twice during our trip and still couldn't get enough of it. This New Orleans Style of cooking incorporates seafood and spices to create amazing food. The Combo Pan Roast is filled with various types of seafood and varying spice levels from 1 to 10. I chose a level 5 to start. I have seen people order level 2, and the cook puts you on blast the entire time!

On our last day there, I desperately wanted to find a way to bring this amazing soup, bisque like thing home with me. Could I sneak it on the plane? Freeze it? Put it in my suitcase? Something!? So I am writing this blog, 4 months post trip to tell you that I have finally found a recipe that fills my Oyster Bar craving.

With this recipe, I am able to make Combo Pan Roast, anytime for my family to enjoy! For all of the seafood, I bought the seafood medley from Costco, which includes, mussels, calamari, and scallops.

Please check out this recipe and all of her other amazing recipes!

OOTD.

Quick snapshot of my outfit today. Forgive me because this is my first ever ootd post. Yes, I do look a little awkward. Anyways, I really adore the nature and industrial background and the moss on the bricks. :)

Celebrating our Anniversary. July 4, 2014

So Guy and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary together. Honestly, we hardly celebrate our anniversary, just because it is on the fourth of July. I think the last time we went out was three years ago? It was a really nice dinner at Morimoto's Waikiki. I've never been there before but decided to splurge for a nice occasion. We were also able to sit in the outside seating area and were able to watch the fireworks! We ordered the 8 course omakase menu. It was awesome.

-First course: toro tartare. It may not look like much but it is soooo yummy!

-I wanted to take these chopsticks home

Second course: Hot oil sashimi. It is similar to Chinese style. Full of flavor.

Third course: Bagna Cauda.

Fourth Course: Foie Gras Chawanmushi. This was so good. I wish they gave more of it.

Our lovely view of the sunset.

I did not take a picture of the fifth course. It was a palate cleanser made with kombucha and sea kelp tea. It was surprisingly good since I'm not a fan of kombucha.

Sixth course: Selection of sushi.

Seventh course: Main entree and I was starting to get full! There was Wagyu filet, ginger pork, and lobster.

Dessert: Banana ice cream and butter mochi

It even came with a chocolate anniversary sign :)

Tokyooo.

These are some street style pictures from Tokyo Fashion week. I find Japan to be one of the most trend-setting countries. They are so eclectic and out there, yet everyone can find something that they would like and make it their own.

Begin.

Everyone. I'm starting a blog finally! I've always wanted to start one, but have never had the courage to open up my opinions to others. Hopefully, this will be a great outlet :)
